Designing Ethical Research
A framework to help plan your research
The development of this framework and tool was a collaboration between Taupua Waiora Research Centre, the Centre for Person-Centred Research, and Good Health Design, and is itself underpinned by Te Aronui - AUT Te Tiriti Framework.
Undertaking research is complex and can be difficult. New situations and contexts may be encountered where you may not be sure of the best way to act. Ethics are a set of moral principles that can help guide you and ensure that throughout your research, you are giving careful consideration to the rights, wellbeing and dignity of people involved in your research activities. ‘Designing Ethical Research’ is a framework and tool to help you plan your research when working with individuals, groups and communities.
